اَللّٰهُمَّ فَقِّهْنِيْ فِي الدِّيْنِ.
Translation: O Allah, grant me a deep understanding of the religion.
Transliteration: Allāhumma faqqihnī fi-d-dīn.
Virtue: Ibn ‘Abbās (radiy Allāhū ‘anhumā) reported: “Once the Prophet (ﷺ) entered a lavatory and I placed water for his ablution. He asked, “Who placed it?” He was informed accordingly and so he said, “O Allah! Grant him (Ibn ‘Abbas) a deep understanding of the religion.”(Bukhārī 143)
In another narration Ibn ‘Abbās (radiy Allāhū ‘anhumā) reported: Once the Prophet ﷺ embraced me and said, “O Allah! Bestow on him the knowledge of the Book (Qur’an). ” (Bukhārī 75)
