اَللَّهُمَّ إنِّي أَسْأَلُك مِنْ فَضْلِكَ وَرَحْمَتِكَ ، فَإِنَّهُ لاَ يَمْلِكُهَا إِلاَّ أَنْتَ
Translation: O Allah, I ask You from Your bounty and mercy, as no one has power over it except You.
Transliteration: Allāhumma innī as’aluka min fadlika wa rahmatik, fa-innahū lā yamlikuhā illā Ant.
Virtue: ʿAbdullāh b. Masʿud (raḍiy Allāhu ʿanhu) narrated that the Prophet ﷺ hosted a guest so he sent a request for food from his wives but it was not found by any of them. So he said [the above]. He was then gifted a roasted lamb. He said, “This is from the bounty of Allah and we await His Mercy.” (Tabarāni in Mu’jam al-Kabir 10379)
