When Burdened by Debts #1

اَللّٰهُمَّ اكْفِنِيْ بِحَلَالِكَ عَنْ حَرَامِكَ ، وَأَغْنِنِيْ بِفَضْلِكَ عَمَّنْ سِوَاكَ
Translation: O Allah, suffice me with Your lawful against Your prohibited, and make me independent of all those besides You.
Transliteration: Allāhumma-k-finī bi-ḥalālika ʿan ḥarāmik, wa aghninī bi-faḍlika ʿamman siwāk.
Virtue: ʿAlī (raḍiy Allāhu ‘anhu) narrated that a slave who was buying his freedom came to him and said: “I am unable to pay the price for my freedom, so help me.” He said: “Shall I not teach you words that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ taught me?” Were your debts like mountains, Allah would settle them for you. Say: [the above].” (Tirmidhī 3563)
