When Entering the Masjid #2

بِسْمِ اللّٰهِ ، وَالصَّلَاةُ وَالسَّلَامُ عَلَىٰ رَسُوْلِ اللّٰهِ ، اَللّٰهُمَّ اغْفِرْ لِيْ ذُنُوْبِيْ ، اَللّٰهُمَّ افْتَحْ لِيْ أَبْوَابَ رَحْمَتِكَ
Translation: In the Name of Allah. Peace and blessings be upon the Messenger of Allah. O Allah, forgive my sins. O Allah, open the gates of Your mercy for me.
Transliteration: Bismi-llāh, wa-ṣ-ṣalātu wa-s-salāmu ʿalā Rasūl-i-llāh, Allāhumma-ghfir lī dhunūbī, Allāhumma-f-taḥ lī abwāba raḥmatik.
Virtue: Fātimah (raḍiy Allāhu ‘anhā) the daughter of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: “Whenever the Messenger of Allah ﷺ entered the mosque he would say: ‘In the Name of Allah. Peace be upon the Messenger of Allah. O Allah, forgive my sins. O Allah, open the gates of Your mercy for me.’ When he left he would say: In the Name of Allah. Peace be upon the Messenger of Allah. O Allah, I ask You from Your bounty. (Ibn Mājah 771)
Abū Usayd (raḍiy Allāhu ‘anhu) reported that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: “When any one of you enters the mosque, he should say: ‘O Allah, open the gates of Your mercy for me.’; and when he steps out he should say: ‘O Allah, I ask You from Your bounty.’” (Muslim 713)
